Social contact for senior citizens
There is always an active group of people at the Senior Citizens Centre in New Street which is open from 10am to midday from Mondays to Saturdays for Coffee and tea, served with biscuits, and newspapers are available. . The entrance is in Chapel Street.

This is a good place to meet up with old friends and make new ones. Day trips are organised during the summer and there is a Christmas party and three raffles a year. Wednesday afternoons see a whist drive and on three friday afternoons a month there is a guest speaker.
