Practice Manager

Our practice manager is responsible for the efficient running of the practice. She heads a team of senior administration, secretarial and receptionist staff.

If you wish to make enquiries about administrative or non-medical aspects of your health and treatment, our practice manager should be able to help you and if you have any comments that you would like to make about the practice, please write to her.

Practice Staff

We have 20 full and part-time reception and secretarial staff working at the surgery. The secretarial staff deal with letters of referral to consultants. Receptionists run reception, make appointments, and answer the telephone; they also handle messages and deal with much of the paper work including prescription and visit requests. Every effort will be made to assist you by balancing your needs with the availability of the clinical staff.

The receptionists will not give you medical advice as they are not trained to do so but they will put you in contact with the doctor or the practice nurse when available.

Practice Nurse Team

The team is led by Lead Practice Nurse Margaret Pinnuck RN1 and together with Pat Gillard RN1, Nicky Groves RN1, Sally Dawes RN2, Tracey Crabb, Anne Pammenter and Michelle Huntley. They are available for consultation by appointment. Their expertise covers a variety of specialities including Asthma, Diabetes, COPD, Lifestyle, Travel Vaccinations, Hypertension, Heart Disease, Well Woman, Family Planning, INR Monitoring (Warfarin tests) & Child Immunisation Clinics.

Our nurses also provide a Treatment Room service that includes ear syringing, blood testing, injections, vaccinations and dealing with minor trauma and dressings.

They will advise on immunisation and the prevention of ill health and can be contacted on the number shown below. You may leave a message with the receptionist and they will return your call.
